My Mom and Dad had to give me up, as they couldn't take care of me any longer, so they called the right people - ESRA. Thanks to the volunteers in Las Vegas and the "Springer ladies" from Phoenix, I am now available and looking for a Forever Home. I love to eat, but I am not really overweight! I like treats, treats, treats - like oranges and carrots. And I love bread (but I probably shouldn't have any). I like to eat my dry dog food lying down on the floor and want my water dish to be pretty deep. I roll around on the floor and am really silly. I speak to you by growling, but it isn't a nasty, mean growl - my tail is wagging all the time. It's just how I communicate. I do understand "No" and even though I hate that word, I am pretty good at stopping whatever I am doing. I don't like to be scolded - so I need someone who will work with me on obedience and manners and has a lot of patience. I am very, very smart and will learn fast. I love squeaky toys and stuffed animals. I like to sleep close to my people(prefer the bed)but will get off and lay on the floor by the bed if you tell me to. I don't like to be left alone very much, so someone that is home most of the time would be a perfect place for me. I am housetrained, and know how to use the doggy door. I don't know about children, as I haven't been around them much. Probably 10 or older would be good. I was raised with a cat, so I think we would get along just fine.
