Album Info:

Age: 7 Years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 45 lbs Variety: Bench/Show-Bred Shadow is a 7 year old neutered male in good health. He has been updated on his shots and his heartworm test was negative. Shadow is a loving and gentle soul that deserves a good home. He would brighten up anyone's home with the way he eagerly greets you each day. He is a very gentle, loving dog and is learning to trust and enjoy belly rubs, being brushed and a good rub down or scratching by his foster family. Shadow gets along well with everyone in our house including our own Springer & Min-Pin as well as our 7 year old boy. Shadow does seem to prefer women over men and I often find him searching me out in the house or laying at my feet no matter what room of the house I am in or what chore I am doing. Although Shadow has been an outside dog for the past 7 years, he is somewhat housetrained but will require additional training and attention in this area. Shadow has the basic commands down such as responding to his name or coming to you when you call. He also sits on command. He has been learning to walk nicely on a leash too. We have discovered that Shadow is afraid of loud noises like thunder and fireworks. He also seems to be afraid of lightening and quiet fireworks like sparklers. Shadow would make a nice family dog where the family can give him attention, walks, training, and a warm bed to sleep in at night. UPDATE 10/8/06 - Shadow has been at our home for 4 months now and he has really come into his own. He has filled out nicely and put on some weight which is good because he was a very boney boy when he showed up at our house. Shadow has a great personality and is a complete sweetheart. He has also learned to be more independent and trusting. Shadow is not crated during the day while we are at work and he seems to stay out of trouble or probably sits in front of the window waiting for someone to come home so he can give them his wet doggy kisses. Shadow loves to go for his walks and we also discovered (with some coaching from us) this past summer that he enjoys swimming quite a bit too. In the beginning Shadow seemed to only enjoy the company of women but he seems quite relaxed around anyone: male, female, adults and kids. Although he seems very comfortable in our home, he still does not like loud noises which include loud music/voices, power tools or those darn thunderstorms. I do think Shadow would be happier in a forever home where he is the only dog because he does like to be the center of our attention.
