Please meet Mollie and Sallie, sisters who have literally been together since birth. They were born October 11 1997. Mollie is wearing the blue collar, Sallie the purple. The girls came to ESRA through unfortunate circumstances. Their family of 9 years were unable to care for them due to major health and financial hardships. The girls were loved deeply and are tow of the sweetest Springers I have ever met. Even though they spent their entire lives in the backyard, they still have excellent manners. I will tell you, though, they quickly acclimated themselves to a life indoors and have found the kitchen floor a fine place the pass the day. Also, they behave as if being crated is a normal everyday thing and will often lie in their crates for a quick nap. They are excellent with children. They were reported to love to chase cats, but since my cat is not impressed by dogs and does not run from them, Mollie and Sallie have found him to be quite boring. Mollie and Sallie are both heartworm positive and are currently undergoing treatment. They have had their vaccinations and will be spayed after they have recovered from the heartworm treatment. These two girls are just a true pleasure to have as part of our foster family. I would be hard pressed to find any sweeter, more loving Springers and that's saying a lot! Please keep an eye on Mollie and Sallie. They will be ready to go to their forever home or homes in about 6-8 weeks. These are very special girls.
