Age: 11 months Gender: Female Color: Black/White Weight: 25 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Lexi is a tiny little girl, weighing in at 24 pounds right now, she may get a bit bigger. She comes from a wonderful line of show dogs and she is absolutely beautiful. She is very inquisitive, sweet natured, and very affectionate. Here is her story. we realize that it will take someone very special to open their heart and home to Lexi. Lexi has a hole in her heart, her owners could not afford to spend any more money on Lexi including the possibility of heart surgery, so sadly, they relinquished her to our program. We took Lexi to the best cardiologist in Los Angeles and her prognosis is that she is not a candidate for open-heart surgery. The doctor said that she will probably live 5-6 years without surgery and towards that end of that time her health will most likely start to deteriorate. She can be a normal puppy and take walks, but not a jogging partner, it would probably be best if she was an only child or with an older dog so that she will not overly exert herself. She was living with another young springer, she bonds with you hard and fast. She is thriving in her foster home and they are constantly entertained and delighted by her, she gets along great with her two Springer foster brothers, they just roll their eyes at her antics and can't quite figure out why she keeps jumping on them wanting them to play! What a special, special darling girl she is, and she will reward her Forever Home with so much love and fun for years to come.
