Age: 2 years Gender: Female Color: Tri-colored Weight: 40 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show-bred Introducing Trixie the Tri! She is a beautiful 2 yr. old tri-color female Springer. In case you didn't know, tri-color Springers are more rare because both parents must carry a tri-factor gene. (They are AKC recognized.) Trixie is a very resilient, happy, happy girl even in stressful situations. She's not a whiner and she smiles all the time! If you look closely at her picture you will see that her nose looks a little different. The vet said this is due to an injury she received as a pup, but it does not affect her sense of smell. In fact, Trixie likes to have her nose to the ground when she's running through the grass! I wish she could tell us what happened to her before she came to ESRA, but it doesn't really matter now because we will find a good home for her. Trixie can jump very high so perhaps she cut her nose on some fencing. Trixie is active, so her new home should have a good sized yard with a tall fence. She has a very sweet disposition and I feel like she would be good with children. She is currently working on housetraining, which shouldn't be an issue given some time and patience.
