Age: 4 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 45 lbs. Variety: Field-bred Smiley aka Mr. Smiles, is originally from Utah. He has traveled quite a rough road in his young years, being on his own in the Utah winter, surviving on handouts at dog friendly homes until he arrived at one where he was taken in by Brittany rescue (he was ID'd as a Brittany mix.) No one knows if he was lost or dumped by his original owner. Smiley made his way from Utah to Livermore, California via several foster homes, leaving only good remarks behind him. His foster mom in Livermore didn't think he was a Brittany, but rather a Springer, and after being further ID'd, it was decided he was, in fact, a Springer. Smiley is a very sweet boy, comes and sits when he's called, gets along with other dogs, is housetrained, and sleeps all night on a quilt in his foster mom's room. He does like to get up on the bed at 5am to snuggle close for awhile. He is also learning to play and will occasionally wrestle with his foster brother Max.
