Age: 18 months Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 40 lbs. Variety: Bench/Show -bred Benny's an unusual sight in New Mexico: He's a show-bred Springer! Benny is handsome and trim, with a big wide blaze and golden eyes. He's friendly and playful, just as you would expect an 18-month-old Springer to be. On the other hand, he is not at all hyper and will happily lounge at your feet. He enjoys being with other dogs and likes having constant company, either 2-legged or 4-legged. He learned sit in the course of one hand-fed meal. Before then he had no clue! Now he even sits without being asked. He knows sitting is a good thing to do and he aims to please. He is house trained and crate trained but he needs to work on his counter-surfing habit. When Benny arrived, he wanted no part of getting groomed. But we earned his trust over the course of 2 days, and were finally able to cut out all his mats, leaving a beautiful feathered coat. Now, after 5 days with us, he lets us handle him as needed. He'll make someone a wonderfully trusting, loving, and loyal friend.
