Variety: Bench/Show-bred Max is the second dog of a family who are moving back East, and cannot take him due to restrictions in their new neighborhood. Max is a really nice pup that is content to play outside without his sister. He would be fine as an only dog, but a canine friend is OK too. He is very sweet and loving, but not so much a Velcro type. I think he is beautiful, the way he is unusually marked. He is almost a solid liver except his underside, a little white on his face and two rear legs. He is good being bathed, and rides well in the car. He loves children, and likes to play. A family with children that would interact with him would be a good thing. His family's human children are really young, and can't play with him the way he would like. All children are fine, but older ones are best for him to play with. He is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, he is heartworn negative, and he's microchipped. He is adjusting to cats at his new foster home. His only current drawback is he needs to be housetrained better. .A new home with a doggie door to the outside would be ideal, as he is really very smart and would learn to use it in no time. Max is an "inside dog" but his mom had her hands full with human babies and couldn't provide the necessary housetraining at the time he arrived. I feel that this is a minor hurdle for a new family to deal with. Please don't reject him for this reason, as his unconditional love and personality will shine through, and make your adoption of him much more rewarding than you could have imagined! It would be best if he was placed in a home with a companion canine, as he has had one all his life and may feel totally abandoned if he goes to a family that leaves him alone without company.
