Chester - Butternut, WI

Age: 2 yrs. Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 40 lbs. Variety: Field-Bred Chester was rescued from a shelter where he had been for about two months after having been picked up as a stray. Chester is an energetic youngster who loves to run and play, but quiets down nicely indoors. He will play catch for hours, leaping into the air to catch a ball when tossed. He does not like to give the ball back, and wants to play tug-of-war. Chester is up to date with his vaccinations and neutered. He loves to go for car rides, and is crate trained, but prefers the company of people instead of being alone. He is loving and loyal, and very smart, and loves to snuggle with you. Chester has not been around children or cats, but does get along with other dogs. He can be mischievous by stealing a shoe or slipper, and lay it close to him, and will let you take it away from him with a wary eye. He likes to chew, but so far has only chewed on toys he has been given (and a tissue hear and there). Obedience training is recommended to burn off energy and for socialization. He needs a close eye kept on him so that he does not stray too far (his nose takes him off in all directions!). Chester needs a little guidance to keep him out of trouble, but he generally listens well. He is a fine companion.
