I have a beautiful black face with a white diamond on my nose. I’m a “Field Springer” and my coat is soft and silky with black and white patches (just check out my glamour photos here and you’ll see how gorgeous I am). I like to be brushed and I love to ride in the car. I smile and wiggle my tail a lot and I love to give kisses. I was kind of skinny when I first got to my temporary foster home here, but I am just right now! The perfect size for your home. Matti was a stray, and just loves all the attention she's getting. She wants so much to be loved and be near you, a very common Springer trait. She has a lot of energy, just like a puppy. She runs around our fenced back yard, exploring every corner. She will chase cats and other critters (squirrels beware), plus she can spring very high to get that toy out of your hand. She has a very strong bark when she is playing outside. She needs a yard with at least a five foot fence or the “North 40” to roam if you’ve got one. If you’re active and are looking for an energetic, loving companion who can keep pace with your jogging or “catch and fetch”, then this is the girl for you. Matti also enjoys the laid back atmosphere of the family room. She enjoys her down time relaxing with her foster brother Baily the senior citizen. They are buds. Matti would do best in a home with a male dog companion, no cats or as a solo dog. In the morning, Matti greets you by jumping and barking as she wiggles like an old-time washing machine. She loves attention so much she will jump on the deck furniture just to get close to you. She’s also learning that “counter surfing for snacks” is not good manners. Matti would appreciate a class in obedience training and good old fashioned leash training would be nice. Matti longs for a fenced in backyard where she can run, play and be safe. She already knows to sit and catch, she comes to her name most of the time. She is healthy, crate trained and will let you know when she has to go outside.
