She enjoys other dogs, respects cats, and is very gentle when she plays. She came from a breeder where she spent nearly all her time in a crate and never got to run and play or be loved. Because of that, she is still a little nervous... after all, it's a big world out there compared to her crate! She has a lot of spirit and energy and learns quickly from her foster brother. To see them, click here, and here. When off leash, she loves to run through tall grass just for the thrill of it, and will happily chase a butterfly for hours. She's not a timid dog and loves to explore the outdoors, but at home she still likes to have a crate to run to when loud noises startle her. She already knows how to walk on a leash, come when she is called , and is starting to sit for her treats. She is quickly learning about housetraining. A complete lady when riding in the car, Mandy is well mannered and never jumps up on people. She's just discovering toys, and likes to collect them into her crate, though she is not quite sure how to play with them. Mandy doesn't like to be completely alone and would be best in a home with another dog to keep her company, or with a person at home much of the time.
