Jacob is one of the most affectionate Springers we've run across in a long time. His striking and unique markings make him even more special. Jacob is a very mellow boy for his age. He's starting to learn to play with toys, but will drop everything to nestle in next to you on the couch and watch TV. He has excellent house manners, is very well-behaved, and is housetrained. He accepts a crate fine. Sadly, Jacob has very recently been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. It's heartbreaking to see such a young and vibrant dog with this condition. ESRA is making plans for his necessary hip surgery that will enable him to romp like others his age. He will be so much more comfortable and pain free. We are searching for a foster or permanent home to take him through the procedure and recovery. As with all our rescues, Jacob is neutered, on heartworm prevention, and all vaccinations are current. While Jacob gets along well with other dogs, he would be most comfortable getting all the affection you have to offer. An adult home would suit him best, as well. He will never be a jogging or hiking partner, but can offer a family with a quiet lifestyle a world of love, companionship, and devotion.
