Blake has a very calm overall demeanor that belies a silly streak that emerges when it's playtime. This friendly boy truly has a sense of humor that makes itself apparent in short order. He rides very well in the car and walks fairly well on-leash. This smart boy has obviously been in a home somewhere and has had at least some basic training. He does well with all humans and so far, other dogs. He is unknown with cats. Blake, like so many of our Texas intakes, has been diagnosed with heartworm. Fortunately, it has been caught in the early stages and his recovery time will be short compared to many other dogs. He will be as good as new, and able to resume normal activitiy, before too long. What this happy little guy needs right now is a foster or foster-to-adopt home that will keep him quiet until the end of March. After that, he'll be able to run and play with all the other dogs, and he can't wait!
