Album Info:
Age: 8 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 56 lbs. Variety: Field-bred They call me "Jack." When my foster mom rescued me from the animal shelter, I started a whole new life. I was turned in by my first owners because "I wouldn't stay home." But you have to understand that I'm 8 years old, and I've never had the little operation I should have had as a puppy. My foster mom also thinks I was left tied up alone a lot because there were complaints about my barking. But I don't bark at all in my foster home. I also kind of choke and cough when I pull on a buckle collar, which comes from years of pulling on a chain. My foster mom uses a Gentle Leader, and that works great! The vets who have seen me are so impressed with me! My teeth are in good shape, as are my ears, and my eyes are only very slightly clouded. My hips are amazing! They say that I look great for my age. I look especially good since I went to the groomer's. I was a good boy for them, and now I'm just GORGEOUS. I get along well with Emma, the resident dog. She's very bossy. But she takes care of security around here, so I don't have to worry about anything. I just do whatever she says and everything's fine. I also get along well with the three cats. I like cats a lot. They don't seem to like my kisses, though. And I absolutely love kids. When I escaped from my foster house, I was found at the school playground. As for my training: At my foster mom's, I sleep quietly in my crate. I ride very well in the car. I sit and come on command. I pull hard on the buckle collar, but I am cooperative on the Gentle Leader. We haven't spent much time out on walks because it's been so dang cold. It's supposed to be above 20 F this week, so Mom says we'll work on "walk nice." I do jump up to be loved, but it doesn't work around here, so then I sit. I don't jump on furniture. Sometimes, only when I'm really excited, I forget my housetraining. I know better, though. Mom's working on that, and she thinks my operation will help too. I've been going to work with Mom since I figured out how to escape from the yard. I lie quietly by her in the greenhouse, or I hang out in my crate, and I love everyone I meet. I really want to be a round-the-clock companion to my special people. I would love to be with my special people all day, every day. They say I talk a lot, and it's true. I just have to tell you how happy I am. I'm scheduled to be neutered on March 9, and I'll need a little recovery time after that. Then I'll be ready to be your loving companion.
