Album Info:

Age: 4 years Gender: Male Color: Black/White Weight: 52 lbs. Variety: Field-bred Meet Winston, the ultimate FAMILY dog! He is a handsome patch-eyed Springer from Boise. He is so well-behaved and nice, you can't find a fault with him. I keep asking his foster parents for his weak points and they can't list any! Winston loves children of all ages. It seems like he must have been raised with them as he seeks them out. Winston also is very comfortable with cats. He would do well in a household with kids or lots of critters. Winston is a well-mannered boy. He listens very well, and wants to please. He is housetrained and doesn't get into things, and is mellow and wonderful. He gets along great with other dogs and likes everyone. He is going to make someone a great companion. He enjoys cuddling and spending time with his foster family, playing with the resident dogs, and enjoys the fenced yard. Winston has the perfect personality and has been trained well. Winston knows Sit, Stay, Lay, and Fetch. He loves to play ball and play in the pool. Winston is a lover, he loves women and he snuggles right up to you. He has been sleeping on the bed with the other dogs in the household. One other command that Winston know is Night -Night. He is housetrained, and if he needs out, he goes to the door. He doesn't bark much; we have only heard him bark one time. His foster mom says, "His hip is doing great and he loves his new dog food. He really loves broccoli; soon as I get home at 3:00 they go to the kitchen and wait for me to cut it up. All five of them line up and I pass out the treats. This little guy just needs someone to love. I don't think he's had much love until now." Winston came from a nice shelter where the staff loved him. They took him to an obedience show to show him off, and they neutered him and took care of his shots. They named him Domino for his unique markings. (Not only does he have a patch rather than a blaze, he has more white than black on his body.) However, they quickly became too full and Winston went to rescue. His foster parents changed his name to Winston because he is a survivor, after Winston Churchill. Winston has hip dysplasia on one side. The vet estimated the function at 80%. With a good diet and his meds, you wouldn't know he has a problem. He will enjoy an active life, but should not be placed with a marathon runner. Now that he is on his glucosamine and Rimadyl, he is running and playing and able to do EVERYTHING A NORMAL DOG COULD DO. He takes the stairs carefully, and can hop on the bed. Winston might be just the right fit for someone with a moderate activity level and a love of snuggling. Consider Winston for your home if you appreciate a happy, friendly Springer with a love of life and love for everyone.
