Album Info:

Age:3 years Gender: Male Color: Liver/White Weight: 50 lbs Meet Kerry, 3 years old and a real “lady’s man.” He’s liver and white with gorgeous golden highlights and weighs 50 pounds. He was probably used for breeding and was dumped in horrible condition at a shelter, rescued by ESRA in November 2005 and restored to excellent health. He was undoubtedly abused by a man as he was terrified of them but bonded to his female rescuers and foster mom immediately. He’s making some progress with his foster dad but will need lots of love and patience to accept a man. Kerry loves being a house dog and has learned how to play with toys and loves other dogs. He's learning basic commands and walks well on a leash. He is crate trained and sleeps there. He is house-trained, although he will occasionally have an accident when left alone in the house. He uses a dog door. He’s a very gentle soul, and a verbal correction is all he ever needs. He spends the day lying under his foster mom’s desk while she works and is never a bother. He is very quiet and rarely barks. He can be left alone in the house and is trustworthy but would do best with someone at home most of the day and in a quiet home. He hasn’t been kid-tested and ignores the neighbor's cats. He’s neutered and is up to date on all shots. Kerry’s foster mom says, “Kerry is definitely a ‘Velcro’ dog and sticks close to me. He’s a very loving, affectionate, ‘hands-on’ dog with me. He’s really come out of his shell in the short time I’ve had him and is really a joy with a lot of ‘puppy’ in him yet that makes me laugh. He would make a great companion for a woman and has so much potential. Given the abuse that he’s had, he will always be timid and just requires some patience.”
