Album Info:

Age: 3 years Gender: Male Color: Black/White Weight: 28 lbs. Variety: Field-bred "Little Stevie Wonder" (as we've nicknamed him) was a stray who spent several weeks in a shelter while the folks there tried to locate his owners via his microchip. They were ultimately unsuccessful (although they did find out his name) and thus ESRA was finally able to pull him from the shelter and get him into foster care. By then he was very thin and had fleas and signs of skin allergies. Stevie's been in foster care for only a few days where, with his very healthy appetite and good dog food, we hope he puts on 8-10 lbs. He's a small boy so a good weight for him would probably be around 38-40 lbs. He's neutered, up to date on his shots, heartworm negative, the fleas are gone and his coat already looks much better. Stevie is full of typical Fieldie energy, but he settles down nicely in the house where he lies next to his foster mom, follows her everywhere, and sleeps on her bed at night. He loves to play with water coming out of the hose, so would probably enjoy a pool. He hasn't had much training, as he needs work on the leash. It appears "Sit" is the only command he knows, but we're working on that, and he's very eager to please. He's a bundle of love and affection, although he doesn't appear to be a lap dog. Stevie gets along fine with two other Springers in his foster home, they've been playing since day one, and probably would enjoy the company of another dog in his new home, especially if it will play with him. He's fine with my 11-year-old grandson and I think will be fine with kids of any age because, although he's exuberant, he's small. He rides well in the car.
