As you can see, I am a petite, pretty little Fieldie. I am looking for a new forever home – one with a large yard and, hopefully, someone who would be home with me most of the time. I really crave human companionship and am happiest when I am with “my” person – whether outside working in the yard, taking long walks or hikes, or just hanging around inside. Foster Mom: Millie is a true lady with impeccable manners – both in the house and outside. She is house trained, walks very nicely on a leash, and knows basic commands such as Sit, Down and Stay. Millie is shy around new people but warms up quickly and enjoys getting cuddles and belly rubs from everyone. Millie has been tested around older children (10 and above) but not around younger kids. Millie was found as a stray in the Bakersfield area and taken to the local shelter where ESRA rescued her into foster care. She has obviously been someone's pet in the past as she enjoys being around people, knows her commands and is well-behaved. Millie is a gentle soul with a true Springer heart that wants to please more than anything. Like most Springers, she needs a large yard to play in and would dearly love another non-dominant dog to be friends with. Millie is up to date on all her shots and is microchipped. We suspect she has been spayed, but it is impossible to tell for sure. If she does go into heat, ESRA will pay the vet bill to have her spayed.
