Age:3 years Gender: Female Color: Black/White Weight: 36 lbs Variety: Bench/Show-Bred Hello, I am Lady and I am a very sweet gentle dog that is looking for a new home. When I first came into foster care out of a very dirty shelter here in Ohio with fleas, kennel cough that turned into pneumonia, an ear infection, so very skinny you could see every bone on my body and to top it off I was in heat! After several weeks of antibiotics, feeding 4 times a day, and too many baths for me to count I am finally well enough to go in for a spay next thursday, and then a new home (I hope). My previous "family" dumped me at a shelter with my brother that was put down before ESRA volunteers were even contacted about us being there. Now I am living with a family with young children, it is apparent that my previous household had children because I consider them my new kids. I am very bonded with the kids in my foster home and am not sure I would really be happy in a home without kids, I even love the infant that lives here and am very tolerant of his pulls and rough handling. I get along with the cats here as well, once I had some energy after my fosters nursed me back to health I sniff them a lot but don't chase them, I am not sure how I will feel about them as I continue to get better but I think a tolerant cat can handle me. The one thing that is required at my new home is another dog. Since my previous home had another dog I am totally lost without one. When I am on my own I will not look up, I walk with my stubby tail between my legs, and feel very lost.
