I had a good life for the first few years living with a couple and their daughter who I played and cuddled with. Then one of my owners died and the other owner had a stroke and had to be placed in a nursing home so I went to live with relatives in a kennel in an old barn with no one to love. ESRA was contacted and I went to a foster home. I was adopted by a family who I thought would be my forever home. Unfortunately that was not meant to be. I have what they call a high prey drive and cannot be with cats as I think of them as prey, but if you would like me to chase rabbits and squirrels out of the yard, I'm the springer for you! My foster parents say I need to be in a home with a fenced in yard. I am told I am a "velcro" dog who likes to nudge, snuggle and cuddle with you and follow you around the house and love to be with people! I am fabulous with kids and have been with kids from babies to elementary age. I am also great with other dogs. I enjoy playing with toys, especially anything Kong and balls and enjoy a good game of catch. I am housetrained but do not like to be crated. I know my commands and am working on not pulling on the leash. I also do a trick where if you make your finger like a trigger and say "bang or pow", I will play dead. I have been known to get into the kitchen garbage and try taking food off the counters. Who can resist those wonderful smells!
