Snoopy, Snoopers, or Snoop Dog, offers himself as a companion in wonderful Springer fashion. He is lovable, fun and (with treats!) willing to please. Snoopy’s loving family received a transfer and could not take Snoopers with them. Seeking the best possible home for him they sought out ESRA. They have a long list of tricks and commands that Snoopy knows. He is quite the dog! (I wish my own Springers were as trained!) He is crate trained, invisible fence trained, great on a leash, knows basic commands, loves to cuddle, is great with kids, good with dogs, chases the cat, and, of course, plays ball! He wants to “catch” on coming cars while he is a passenger in the car... so a seat belt / harness is provided for him. His former owners also crated him when they had to leave him alone. He will bark when he notices something new! His loving care has resulted in a very well adjusted, fun member of the household. Snoopy is seeking to continue this pattern for the rest of his life. Please respond if this could be you! Update 9/22/05: Snoopy is a favorite at our house! He is incredibly sweet and loves to cuddle. He has been a constant companion in my quest to prevent the barn swallows from building mud nests on the house. His high prey drive has kept the birds away and slimmed him down at the same time! He has the softest coat and thinks that the spot in between “mom and dad” in bed is the best place ever! He accompanies us in the car for trips to town. Though he is alert, he is not a barker in the car. He does show the possibility to be a hunter, but will require a patient trainer, as it would be a new experience for him.
