I was AKC registered by my breeders and bought by a family who enjoyed me until I grew up into a big boy. They took me to shelter to find me another home. A lady came to the shelter and adopted me but after a week with her, she decided I was too big and gave me to friends of hers who wanted a playmate for their children. After a while, the children didn't want to play with me anymore because I was a big kid so the owners tied me up in an unfenced backyard where I wasn't protected from other dogs. I just wanted to play and see the world so I kept getting loose and the owners were unhappy with me. One day, a lady from ESRA came to get me so that I would be safe and loved. She gave me a hair cut and bath and I felt like a new boy. She took me home where I could live inside and play with other fosters in a large fenced backyard. Well at this point I thought I had it made. What more could a young boy ask for than all the food and treats he wanted and lots of playmates. It's been great to be here but the daily routine of eating in the morning, playing for a few hours, eating in the afternoon, playing some more and then being kenneled for the night is getting so boring. In my foster home, there are all sizes of dogs for me to play with but I just play with the big ones and sit or lay down and let the little ones play with me. I have a doggie door at my foster home and it's great being able to go out if I want to or come in where it's cool when I want to. I needed to gain a little weight when I was rescued but now I'm at a good weight of 65 lbs. My foster mom says I have a beautiful dark brown coat that is wavy and in good condition. She says that my pictures do not capture my wonderful, gentle, loving personality and my true beauty. It's been nice here but I'm ready for a family of my own to love and be loved. If I had my way, I would go to a home that had a fenced in back yard, another dog to play with, a family who would go with me to obedience classes, and one who would keep me safe, secure, and love me forever – ARE YOU THAT FAMILY?
