Very sad about Mira, but a lovely story about Inigo and his new family. Am also interested in the circumstances of his losing his real mum. Are you going to keep posting photos of his lifes adventures. Jill

Just d/loaded all the photos to enjoy over again in the future. What a traumatic entry into the world but lucky to be surrounded by very loving replacement Mums. Very sad for Inigo that you lost Mira. I would be interested to know what happened too.

I really enjoyed this tribute to both Inigo and his dam Mira. It took me awhile to realize that he was a orphan colt. I raised one many years ago and we shared a beautiful bond, I hope you have that experience also. What happened to Mira?

What on earth happened to Mira? It's rare these days for such a thing to happen. What a shame. Inigo is such a beauty!!

Sorry, but I dropped a tear for Mira and Inigo. Very touching story. And it is not fare. Such a happy moment as birth of a baby shouldn't be going together with Mom's loss...

If I understand correctly, this photo was taken during the last few moments of Mira's life. So this feature is a Mother's Day tribute to her. Thank you for giving us this sombre but triumphant moment.
