  • Also, some days he may eat just a leaf or two, and then refuse for another entire day. We offer him food 4 or 5 times/day by hand, and then we leave food available for him at all times. Thanks for considering this. You can answer me at annafogg1@aol.com

  • Hello. We are iguana owners, and I have just taken over my son's iguana as he has not been giving him the best care. My 8 yr old daughter and I now take care of Iggy. He is approximately 2.25 yrs, and 37 inches from nose to tail tip. He has periods where he refuses to eat, sometimes 2 days. We offer him always a variety, kale, collards, grated squash and sweet potatoes (these 2 are his favs), bananas occassionally, carrots. We put him in the tub daily and he likes that, he has a heating pad in his enclosure, but he rides around on my daughters a lot of the day, and hangs out with us, we are homeschoolers, in the living room by the window. What can we do to get him to eat more? Any other advice?
