Album Info:

These worms came from Pacific Landscape Supply in Westley, CA. Their feedstock was paper pulp, which may be the reason their striping is so distinctive from head to tail. Common names are Redworm, Tiger Worm, and Manure Worm. Eisenia fetida is extremely tolerant of environmental fluctuation and handling and is the species identified by research as the most effective for vermicomposting in the widest range of feedstocks and environments. These are some real beauties!
