This is Ya-ya's right fetlock. The top two pictures are after the vet has debrided the damaged cartilage on P1 (the pastern bone). You can see some light grooves on the cannon bone side of the joint (the bottom in these pictures). That might be a bone chip in the lower right picture, on the far right side of the photo. This is what a typical joint looks like when chips are removed--some light cartilage damage. When this joint was flexed and and she trotted, Ya-ya scored 1-1.5.
