I use a product called Wilton's. This is simply a tiny jar of "tint" that is used to color cake frosting! You can purchase it at a craft store that sells cake decorating supplies or even at Walmart! Simply add a little dye to a cup of hot water. Drop in your chunks of wood, swirl it around and the dye takes instantly!
