I believe this is a Sparagowski photo. You can see the photographer's partial signature at right. The animal is bright copper bay but probably he was a slightly darker hue in the original. If I knew the name and sire/dam, I could probably make a pretty good guess as to the coat-color genetics. I've been working with Arabians since 1968; they don't possess the dun factor if they're purebreds.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabian_horse#Colors_that_do_not_exist_in_purebreds Hi, beautiful horse!! You're original caption is correct I looked it up out of curiosity. The dun gene is a dilution and all colors you suggested are included in the dun gene and Arabians cannot be that color since it's genetically impossible. ;) And this horse is stunning.

Hi, I did my degree in equine coat colour genetics and I agree with the original caption on the photo. He looks bright bay to me, no zebra markings, no dorsal stripe... nothing else to indicate he is a "dilute." Would be nice to see him in real life!

Hey, just a little info, the horse is a yellow dun, buckskin, or a plain dun. lol Trust me, I'm not trying to make fun of you or anything. It's just a little pet peive of mine. I'm sorry.
