  • It's not illegal to keep them here in CT. Yes, they are declining. Unfortunately it is not a reality to release animals kept this long in captivity.

  • The wild populations of spotted turtles are decling. Your keeping them as a pet hinders the efforts that are being made to bring up the populatons. It's illegal to keep these beautiful creatures as pets. The spotted turtles you have should be free.
