  • Looks like you have created an ideal play environment for a bird! I had a LoveBird that adored his "Teddy" and loved to play around on a similar "gym set". I now have a Cherry Head Conure that is just a bit more aggressive with his toys. =-) He likes to tear stuff up, and "box" at the swinging toys. I don't have any pictures of them in WebShots yet, but I will soon. So if you like LoveBirds or Conures then look for my new pics to come soon.

  • Lucky Bird! Great pics! I have 2 10-year old CAG's that I recently bought from someone who no longer had time for them. Both birds are very nasty and cage-protective. In fact, feeding and watering time are a game to see who can peck my hand off. I always win or else they wouldn't get fed! Now they parade back and forth wearing a path down at the bottom of their cage, enticing the dogs to come along for a sniff so they can peck their noses. I've had these birds for 18 weeks and would like to know what I can do to have the success you had. They are a bonded pair and as far as I can see, I won't be able to do anything with them unless I separate them. Then they're not as brave, especially when I manage to get them on a stick outside of their cage. The one little guy has plucked all his feather off his chest. He's a nervous wreck all the time. Any suggestions? I'd like to one day be able to cuddle these birds as the original owner did (a man). Otherwise, they're quite antisocial, except with each other. Leonore (tuckercat@usa.net)

  • We commend you on a fantastic job well done. Hobbs is a beautiful Grey. So nice to hear and see a success story on one of these guys. I have a CAG who has been plucking for a year. We are still hoping with all the love and caring that Oliver will feather again. He is trying. Great work

  • Congratulations on being a great parent. This looks like a very happy bird. I have Nikki - African Congo Grey - see Ginny's Birds. He's happy now that he has other parrots in our family, but he picked his red tail completely out one day and he had no tail for about 6 months and now it's finally back. He says everything though. They are great birds! You have captured the personality of a Grey on your pics! Thanks for sharing.
