    • I really appreciate the fact that you put credits up once you knew them. I think the pictures give many people pleasure and are really beautiful, therefore they should not be removed; I think the original person/ people who download the pictures have the responsibility to put up details.

    • The name was unknown to me at the time. The caption was changed as soon as I knew. Anyone is free to give any well thought up commits. Anyone knows any of the other horse that I used? Maybe I should take down all but the few Collages that I photographed my self.

    • To respond to 'floatinflowers' and to inform all other viewers out there: if you create something and someone nicks it and doesn't give you credit for it, wouldn't that ##### you off? The black leopard Appaloosa mare in the appy collage is mine; her name is LEOPARD ROCK QUEEN OF HEARTS, but some unscrupulous crook is passing her off as theirs and even had the audacity to change her name to Debracy. While I don't mind her picture being used,I STRONGLY OBJECT to the name change and her registered name not being put on her picture. Kind of like stealing, don't you think? I don't think you gave your comment much thought, otherwise you'd understand it from the other point of view. I just want to add that if her full name doesn't appear on her picture I will have it removed. I have informed the photographer who I am sure will take it up further - he is after all losing out here too. BTW, I'm in South Africa - just goes to show you how widespread this type of 'theft' is...

    • does that guy the "professional photographer" think hes the web police or what? why doesnt he mind his own business? No one is selling the pics or making money off of them, we just enjoying them, thats what webshos is for.imitation is the highest form of flattery, and if someone wanted one of my pics, it would make me very happy! i guess those "professional photograhers" have no sense of humor!I really dont think the few pics you used for your collages are going to make anyone rich!or poor.We just enjoy the horses and the breeds, just like lady in red said.You used some of mine and you dont hear me complaining about infringment, so maybe the "professional photograher" needs to get a like and worry about other more important things. At least he has a job and a family to go home to!! so quit the whinning!!

    • Thanks for your concern in my guestbook about my ablums becoming private. The Oct 25 message was not the only nasty message that I got. I got about 4 of them. I know most of them probably won't follow through with their threats, but better safe than sorry I guess. I can't risk a lawsuit right now and buy rights we probably are in the wrong. That is why I included the webaddress where the pictures came from with each and every one of my pictures, but that's probably not good enough. I was only trying to promote the many breeds, the horses themselves, their owners, their trainers, their breeders, etc, but because of a few bad apples I guess I'm not going to provide that service any more. I know you were a fan of my albums. If you would still like to view them, give me your email address and I will forward an email invite to you. I just ask that you don't pass it on to too many people. Thanks and take care.

    • Many, if not all, of the photos on your site are being used illegally - this is called infringement and you are in violation of federal and international copyright law which carries serious consequences. The equine photographers who OWN the rights to these images must give you permission to use THEIR property for this use to be legal. Just because an image is on the web DOES NOT MEAN IT IS "FREE" for any use by anyone. Notice that some of your photos are even signed by the creators! Most photographers charge for use such as this since being posted here, anyone can make a copy and pay the OWNER of the image nothing. Please go read about copyright law before you end up with someone suing you over this. Go here to see what copyright is: http://www.photolaw.net/faq.html and in particular read the Q & A for "How do I get permission to use a copyrighted work?" and "What if my copyrighted work is used without permission?" and the Q & A about making a deritive work (like your collages) "If I change a few things in a copyrighted work by adding or taking something away, am I guilty of copyright infringement?" and "If I make collages. Are there any problems that I might encounter?" I am sure you would not have posted nor used these images in your collages had you fully understood the law. Please educate yourself right away. And be advised, I am forwarding notice of your infringement to many of my peers whose work I have recognized in your albums. My purpose in this message is not to be rude since I can see you, just like me, really love horses and that means a lot to me. I just want you to know you are hurting the fine hardworking people who are trying to make a living by creating these beautiful images.

    • These pictures are beautiful. I know a lady who used to own a miniature horse. Her name was lady. Lady used to go in the house and watch cartoons on the tv. They used to take her to the pediatric ward at the hospital for children to see. They used to take her in their car. She would get in one side of the back seat and go out the other side. When Mary's son Ryan was little if she couldn't find him all she had to do was call lady and Ryan would be right there. This is a true story. This was about 10 years ago and I have not seen Mary for a long time so lady may be dead by now. She was about the colour of a palomino. Keep on sending in the pictures. I as you can probably tell am a horse lover and have been for years. My daughter used to show horses. donna.a@sympatico.ca
