You have some great shots here, and I appreciate the effort required to capture them. I invite you to view my album which shows the complete life cycle, including an egg hatching.

I had to stop by this one again and take a look. We recently visited the butterfly room at Tennessee Aquarium. Also will be posting from Calloway Gardens very soon. These are awesome!

This album is amazingly, awesome. I cannot believe some of these captures. Thank you, the ones with the vertical wings blows my mind, as does the Tiffany looking ones. Hope all turns out well for you and yours.

Very cool....Great album...I don`t understand what u mean though...When I shoot in super Macro mode I need to be less than 10 centimeters from the object...Which means I`m way to close to even think about cropping....

Beautiful work Poppy. Were these taken down under? I didn't realize Australia was in the geographic range of this species. I haven't been around to visit you in quite a while, but I will be back to view more of your newer work. Thanks for your kind comments on my photo included in the Rainforest collection. They are appreciated. Mike

Hi Poppy, amazing captures of the butterfly. I very much enjoyed my visit here and the history you provided was most fascinating. I captured my butterflys in a butterfly house, it was a small exhibit at a local nursery and very hot, but I was delighted to be able to captue this delicate beauty. The blue butterfly was taken at a friend's house, he stopped only long enough for me to capture him. Thank you for your kind comments on my butterfly captures. Have a beautiful day! Leslie

Hi Poppy! I am drooling over these butterfly photos. What kind of camera do you have and how close were you to the butterfly? I am just amazed. I hope your hand is healing nicely and that you don't have too much withdrawal wanting to take photos. I'm having withdrawal from it being to hot to get outside at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. :-)) Thanks so much for your sweet message on my featured album of Butterflies for Irma the other day. Have a happy Sunday. Sharon

Poppy, most of the bird shots were taken with the Sigma Macro lens :o) All my recent butterfly shots (All in albums created in 2006, you'll find them in the 2nd and 3rd pages of my collections) were taken with this lens ;o) Ciao! Roberto
