nice album of feathered friends, thanks for looking at my ducks, I looked at the shoveler shots, but that is not the duck I cannot identify, if you look I have shovelers also, but this is a different duck totally, what it is is a mystery, cannot find it in any of the books or online...the mystery continues......

Hi Eric, What a wonderful collection of birds. There is nothing I enjoy more than looking at all these delightful creatures. Thank you very much for your visit to my Osprey album and your kind word to left for me. I must see if I can find the Scottish Osprey you are tracking, they are just the most magnificent birds. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend...Leslie

Hello Eric! Lovely photographs of birds. I spent long hours this summer trying to get some decent pictures of birds in South India; it was, to say the least, a trying experience. So, I can fully appreciate the time and effort that must have gone into preparing this album. My compliments. Btw, I also took another peek at your b&w Antarctica album. I am plannimg to go there in December this year. Your album of photographs taken 50 years ago is like a sort of reference album for me. I am sure I would enjoy thoroughly this ensuing trip. If you do have any tips please do let me know. I know you were there again about two years ago. My best wishes to you. Suresh

Hey Buddy! I hope that means you are "on your feet" again, feeling well and great and doing what you do best, enjoying the great outdoors and perserving your explorations with all of us to share! Ever since I found out about the full screen slide show a few weeks ago on the w/s client, (viewing) life has changed, almost every photo will look better full size and yours all deserve the fullscreen views, wonderful details! Cheers mate and hope you are enjoying the summer. To answer your questions about the weather while I was in Germany from April to June, I must say mostly great, and what a glorious spring. I've taken well over 3000 photos but haven't even started to look at them or sort them, at this point I am still about 2months behind on w/s responses, too...well, here's the lady with the slow horse, wishing you a beautiful day! Marita

These are ggreat shots. I always have a problem taking shots of birds. They just will not stay still for me to take a decent shot. But you are able to do that, some kind of magic or Dr. Doolitlle power? Thank you, esp. for the nice comment you left in my Tahiti Dive album.

Hi Eric: such a collection - from just "wandering around"?! One would guess you were moving in an aviary! No doubt you live in or near biotops that are "abnormally" rich in birds (probably other animals, too?). But besides this reaction we have: you have big merits with this collection - most of your actors are so busy that they won't stop and keep quiet for a biped! - Compliments for your patience and excellent pictures, thank you for sharing! - And by the way: thank you also for your kind GE of June 16 and July 13! Kaethi and Henri
