Happy Valentine's Day, Pretty Lady!!! That is one of the 6 Favorites that I have. Yes hat to boots and they have rode and cleaned up after horses as well as tended cows. NEWS:As you know,I have been mailing Susan all her messages so she would get them even though she wasn't well enough to come on the computer. I heard from her today and she had wonderful news to share with all: A NOTE FROM SUSAN: Good Morning Peechez, I can't thank you enough for the beautiful letter, and letters from all. Now I have to tell you a story. I came home yesterday, still very blue about everything. I opened the manila envelope and started to cry and pray. I had just come back from the Doctors and he said 16 more treatments. I knew I couldn't and wouldn't do them. My throat couldn't take it. I tuned the rest of what he said out. Gordy was angry, and said Susan you have to do this!!!!! I told him he can do them for me. Is he nuts? I have no throat left as it is. The Gal that sets you up tried to explain everything to me yesterday, but I couldn't hear her, because I was so scared. I got a call from the hospital to come down right away today. There was a Women there that wanted to talk to me. So I went down, Robin the tech and a Doctor I never meet before, explain everything. They had shown me a picture of my lungs. The Cancer is almost all gone. They have to do this one area, that is no where near my throat or upper chest, that Cancer is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear I am going to write a book on the power of prayer. Before I went to the hospital I prayed to God for an answer, show me what to do. It was in my hands all the time. In a Manila Envelope. It seems sometimes we are in such emotional, and physical pain, we can't see what is right in front of us. I had the answer all the time. It was square in shape, but it had all kinds of hearts inside. Thank you for all your prayers, and faith!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of all I am greatfull to a Peach of a Gal, who took the time to send me your letters. With All My Love, Susan *Clearly, all of our love, support and prayers are doing just what we hoped. Dear Marita~ I can never get enough of this album. I hope this note finds you doing well. I know you left a special message for Susan before so I am here with an update. I have heard from Susan. She has been fighting her cancer with all her might. She informed me today that she has taken terribly ill and the fight has become too much. She had to stop treatments as she felt her body and mind could take no more. In this very difficult time, she still needs our prayers. We need to remember that love is not selfish. While we don't want to ever have to say goodbye, we have to love her enough to let her do what she needs to do for her. We need to be supportive, understanding and continue to pray for her. She needs us all now more then ever. May she have many more wonderful moments and may she not suffer. Whatever path she takes... be it start up treatments again later or not... may she always know that she has touched our hearts and will remain near and dear to us always. Thank you all for the love and support you have extended over this fight. My hope is that you continue to do so as your words, and the love behind them, mean the world to Susan. She wants each and every one of you to know that she loves you and appreciates all the light you shine her way. I can't tell you how thankful I am to know people such as yourselves. The kind of people that make time to let someone else know they are not alone. You are all such wonderful people. Being in love with horses myself, I have viewed this album several times as you have some of the greatest shots of horses. I still keep my saddle and bridle, just incase, but I do not own a horse now. I have had several throughout my years but it is increasingly difficult to keep one and travel. The used to be an old man near by who would tend to them while I was gone but he is no longer with us. Susan

The last one is not from happy ones but my family and I are all hopeful. I'm starting my battle with breast cancer that was recently discovered but that had started "brewing" some time ago - I was aware of strange "cosmetic" symptoms but I didn't know they were related to the disease. Tomorrow I'm flying to the US - Portland, Oregon - where I'll start my treatment. For sure I will not keep in pace with what is happening on the site, but I'll try. Hugs, Irina

To answer your question. The horses are Morgan/Arabrian mix. They have very strong necks too because, they pull wagons, carts and carriages. I will be going back to that ranch next month. The owner is going to hitch up the team. I can't wait for that photo opp. Take care, Lavender

Hi Marita. Yep, back to normal now. Thanks for your concern & good wishes. I think the air conditioning that many of us have to work in creates more need for liquids because of the way it dries us out, mostly without us noticing. Gotta get out for a photo shoot soon. It's cool but not that cold. My niece's 8 yr old got a camera for his birthday. He took over my tripod yesterday & was shooting like a pro. We might see him on Webshots soon. Liebe Marita, dies ist ein schoenes Album mit wunderbaren Bildern von herrlichen Tieren. - Stell Dir vor, im Juli waren Fohlen mit den Mutter-Stuten aus Piber in Wien zu Gast(in der Spanischen Hofreitschule). In Piber werden seit 200 Jahren die edlen Lipizzaner gezuechtet. Die Fohlen waren gerade zwei Monate alt, sie waren so froehlich und ausgelassen! Ich habe auch einige Fotos gemacht, aber die Vorfuehrung war am sparteren Nachmittag in einem schattigen Innen-Hof, wenig Licht fuer die tollen Fohlenspruenge! Aber ein schoenes Erlebnis. - Liebe Marite, danke fuer den Besuch in meinem Eisbaer-Album und Deine wie immer herzerwaermenden Worte! Welcome back Marita & thanks for the compliments on the photos. The sunset stitching was fairly easy. The computer program did the hard work. It just needed minor patching up. Some of the others needed more work. The black background for the flowers is one I will definitely be using again & again.

Hi Marita, just wanted to stop by and check in. Trust you are keeping well. Will definitely have to check out this album in the future! Since I'm going to be on a hiatus from webshots effective immediately until about mid-July I did want to say hello. Hi Marita, I did not know you had an accident, what happened? I was so sorry to read about it, my mum told me. My horse threw me off 3 weeks ago, he did not want to work... but I got on again and have ridden him since. I wonder if he is the right horse for me; since I live in Portugal again I'd rather ride lusitanos that feel much safer than my hanoverian, however talented he might be. Cyton is a beautiful horse. I know nothing about horses, but we have a white one across the street that I love to feed carrots and apples to. He is so gentle - at least with the fence between us.
