Are you saying that frogs eat crickets, as well as other creepy-crawlies, like cockroaches and checkos? Do frogs attract crickets, or do crickets attract frogs? What a conundrum :-) In Mackay about 18 mths ago, I had a snake visit inside the Loungeroom of my highset Qld. style house, and the expert told me it would have been after frogs. I told him - no rain, therefore no frogs, sorry! He then said gheckos were next on the menu. Along these lines, gheckos and frogs attract snakes ugh! We've shifted to Glenden "out Bush" now, where it only rains seldom, and water restrictions are prevalent, we have gheckos, but by golly, the frogs have been waiting and waiting and waiting, and are they having a field day since our couple of storms! I wonder where they hide usually? Hope the local snakes (big Browns,I'm told!) don't come hunting:-) PS: The crickets are out in force too, VERY LOUDLY:-), so I understand how your Husband felt about the serenade:-) Hugs. Margaret.

When I had poison dart frogs and red-eyes...I always fed them crickets (because it's easy to gutload them so they are nutritional for the frogs and because you can dust them with calcium and vitamin powders). Personally I miss hearing crickets. I had to sell my business (iculizard bearded dragons) and the house is so quiet now. I'm working on my husband to get a few red-eyes but so far no luck :) I'm so jealous...I've never been to Australia and would love to travel there one day. See many dragons around? A few of my friends have been there and I've heard such great things. The idea of having geckos and frogs wandering into your house is so neat! Snakes...not so much. ttys, Megan.
