Album Description:

Tess was abandoned in a very remote, rural part of Scotland. It appears she was mistreated but now has a loving home after we "rescued" her from a dog home 2 weeks ago.

  • Dear Craig, What a beutiful dog how could anyone harm her is beyond me. I'm so pleased for her that she now has a safe and loving home and I'm sure she will reward you with her loyalty. Craig thanks so much for stopping by sorry you had trouble with a page opening its seems to be to me. As for the Via Ferrata in the Lakes that was back in August I'm still sorting the pictures from then but getting there now. 26 of us had booked on to do it come rain or sun and to be honest we really didn't notice the rain we were all too busy concentrating on not slipping on the wet tock. Its great fun and I'd love to do it all again but in better weather next time. Take care now, love Jill

  • Thank You!! for adopting! my Toy Rat Terrier was on the way to the pound when my friend Sandy took her then gave her to me because they had a Jack Russell who was unhappy with her. She is the light of my life as I live alone

  • GOOD FOR YOU!!! Tess looks like she will make a wonderful companion. My toy rat terrier was rescued from going to the pound by a friend who then gave her to me. I have since saved 3 dogs from going to the pound and found wonderful homes for them

  • Congratulations, Tess! You have found a wonderful new home. We love cats and dogs. We rescued 2 kittens back in October, 2002. The one, a Birman mix, had been abused by a man. She was very afraid of men. It took almost a year for her to fully accept my husband; but, she learned he would never lay a hand on her in a bad way and now she loves him with all her heart. We just don't understand how some people can be so cruel to animals..no matter what they are. So, how wonderful it is to see a very happy Tess after what she has been through. So once again, congratulations to Tess for having such wonderful people who love her now and know how to show it.

  • Hello Craig. Thanks for getting back to me! Unfortunately Mackay has been having rain again, and they estimate about 18 months for rebuilding to be completed. Modern interior finishes are absolutely no good with 3ft of water through the house! Funny thing about the weather, Rosa from Lisbon has told me of bad flooding at about the same time as we had it. Perhaps you're right in your "global warming" ideas. Hope not, because if the Atlantic rises, then our Coral Sea will too, and Mackay will go under for ever! Can't bear to contemplate it.Back to why I'm on this page!I'm in love with Tess, she needs lots of cuddles, and probably kind discipline, to get her head straight again, if the "dog whisperer", Cesar, the Mexican is to be taken notice of! You know, if she was mistreated, it's just as well you found her. I have a little cattle dog called Jedda, who was voluntarily surrendered to our local Council in Mackay at 10mths of age. She's a perfect little dog, and is bonded to me with great love on both sides. She has one phobia, however - anyone with a stick will be attacked with much noise! No biting, just a great warning not to come near her. I think she was abused, too, so both of us have a dog whom the fates have saved, with us as the recipients. Must away now - Margaret downunder.
