Anche ad Amsterdam si vede tanti di questi, che non sono pappagali veri, ma parrocchetti dall'Australia, scappati da gabbie in casa e poi rimangono vivi perche gli inverni sono 'caldi', gli ultimi anni! Sono una piaga in qualche posto...

Hello Lucia, Beautiful album! I love parrots. They have beautiful feathering as well as seemingly very intelligent behavior. However, they are more usually associated with the tropical rain forest than with the Mediterranean. I would think that they are probably escaped or released former pets. Sunflower seeds are very nutritious and highly prized by many birds. As long as you have sunflower seeds available, they will return again and again in ever increasing numbers.
