P.S. to yesterday's comment--I notice your bay girl's name is Shabaka--well, the 'old Becky mare's sire was a horse called 'Dhuzaka' or something like that--don't have her pedigree with me--he was either straight Babson Egyptian or Egyptian/Crabbet. Strong black genes through *Fadl's blac son. Becky's dam was Crabbet/Kellogg, and a mare named Firlika was involved--imported into B.C. in the early 60's

I can't remember if I commented on this album last fall under the pseudonym 'corsolo' or not. Your horses look so much like the ones I used to own that I can't believe that they're not related. In particular, the lovely old girl(?) in 'Taking a Spring Break' looks enough like the great old matron 'Blue Moon Raebehka' to be her full sister. Can't take credit for 'Becky's' credential, but she spent her last years with me, and my daughter-in-law and I still have her last daughter and granddaughter.
