Congratulations Marjie on your new addition. He is a little cutie. Love the brown hues on the tips of his fur. This makes five doesn't it?? Or have I lost track? All of your cats are real beauties and I wish I was able to have more than my little Cleo. Oh Marjie, I could just weep for you. How sad that you lost this little beauty. It is wonderful that you have been able to capture so many beautiful pictures of Alex, ones that you will treasure for years to come. I remember the first cat that I lost as a teen ager and all I had to remember her by was her blanket with her little cat hairs in it and I must have kept that for years. They are all so different and never can be replaced and I know you will hold Alex in your heart forever. My heart goes out to you. So terribly sorry to hear you lost your Alex to FIP. We also had a heartbreaking experience with our first flamepoint kitten. I don't know why it often seems to happen to the cats who have touched and amazed us profoundly with their intelligence and sweetness. I guess they are too good to remain on earth for long. Your kitten had a very short, but wonderful life with you. He'll always be with you in spirit and memories. Try to hold on to the good ones and let go of the sad. Dear Marjie, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Some kitties are more special than others and they get so deep into our hearts that we will always miss them. I have had a number of cats, but my special kitty was a white Angora Persian with two black spots on his forhead. I named him Ditto, because he looked just like his mother Dottie and he was the same so he was Ditto. He was the softest, sweetest, dearest cat I've ever known and reminds me of your Alex, only white. He was very heavy and as you know, a cat can walk through a room and you can't hear it, but he used to enjoy stomping his little feet on the floor when he wanted me to know he was there. He marched along like a little boy wearing boots, stomp, stomp, stomp, then he would run up and down the stairs making as much noise as possible. So funny! At night he used to sleep next to me with his little paw in the palm of my hand and he would wiggle his toes gently just till his claws would touch me a bit. He died suddenly when he was 6 and I was broken hearted. Then that week when I was in bed, suddenly I felt his little paw in my hand again, soft and warm and I could feel him wiggling his toes and I knew that he was visiting me from Heaven and that he still loved me, and I believe that when I die, I WILL see him again, and he's waiting for me. As I'm sure that little Alex will be waiting for you. Maybe he's even hanging out with my Ditto right now! Love and Kitty Kisses, Carol Jean
