Cats will be cats, and Smokey is a fine hunter. You're tougher than I am, though. More than once I've saved a mouse from our cats and heaved it outside. No love for mice, just can't stand to hear the squealing.

Wow - the cat and the vole are about the same color. We get those voles up here in Michigan too but they don't seem to do much damage. Guess we need a good mouser and they'd be gone. Beautiful cat, great photos and once lovely, velvety mole. Take care, DeeAnne :)

I couldn't sleep so I got up & checked my email! You finally put it together. I got some shots of him being dive bombed by a Mockingbird. It was scolding & chasing him around & he was chattering back!! It was funny to watch. I took a lot of shots of both of them interacting and am going to make an album. I don't like for him to be out much anymore during the day. I think he may have mauled that mockingbird it's chest had red spots on it. Of course it may have witnessed him catching a friend too. It sure doesn't like him at all. I'll call you Tues mid-morning. Love you Sis, Bonnie
