  • Great collection of these hard working winter Jays that make such great parents. Thanks so much for your comments on my winter 2009 album. Warm Regards, Tom

  • Thanks for your comment in my album. I am glad you enjoyed my Blue Jays. It is so much fun raising them and then setting them free. All the birds that I have ever raised have stayed with me until it is time to leave in the fall. This is the first time I have ever raised two together and had them both return to me the next year in the spring. If you know anything that will help me raise baby orphan bird I would love if you would share with me. Even the vet sends me baby birds and the licened people also. No one around here that I know of knows how raise them. I sprinkle 2:0 calcium suppliement with vitamins for Lizards, turtles, snakes and amphibians on their food. That keeps the legs from breaking as they are growing up. I raise my own mealyworms and I have to buy my crickets. I feed all kinds of fruit, soaked dog food, scrambled eggs, and other things. I can tell by looking at your albums that you love birds like I do. Your photos are wonderful. Linda (Texas)

  • I love your photos of the Blue Jays. They are just beatiful. Last year I raised two orphan Blue Jays and after I set them free they came to me all year long for treats. They left in Oct for the winter and now they just came back two weeks ago and are now still coming to me every day for thier treats. When you have time stop by and take a look at them. Thanks for sharing you great photos. Linda from Texas

  • Hi Darlene, thanks for your nice comment on my timberwolf photo. I love your albums on backyard birds. Bluejays and cardinals are my favorite birds - don't see many of them this winter but have plenty in my yard during the summer (see my album 'birds, bees and other critters') Keep up the good work - I'll be looking out for more of your pictures. #####, Dorval, Canada
