Susie, I like your pictures of this beautiful bird. I was not familiar with this bird, it must be wonderful to have many of them and listen to their songs. I also like the framing to these pictures. Thanks for sharing your album! thanks also for your recent visits and your kind words in my Pomegranates album. Wishing you a wonderful day, Yair.

Hello Susie! Red Cardinals have always been my favourites. It is just not the arresting red colour, but the seriousness of their face which gives them a highly impressionable look. They are a delight to watch. You have certainly done great justice to them in your album dedicated to just this bird. I enjoyed the slideshow. I want to thank you for stopping by my Sri Lanka album and for the appreciative comments. Stay well! Best wishes, Suresh

My dearest Susie, this album is as sweet as you are. Wonderful perfectly framed photos and dialogues also make me smile. I'm not so familiar with the birds in general, probably because we haven't here so nice and special: but I've liked so much your monographic shots collection. Thank you for showing us such beauties. Warm hugs. Claudia

Hi Susie, Thanks for visiting my album and for all your comments. I will try to answer some of your questions: 1. The cover picture of my Waterfalls album is of Iguassu Falls. 2. The Royal Poinciana and Yellow Poinciana trees look similar but they do not belong to the same family. 3. The ball in the cover picture of my Genoa album is called La Bolla and it is located in the old port of Genoa. La Bolla is a glass sphere which holds a miniature rainforest, including native plant and animal life. 4. The lake in the cover picture of my Slovenia album is called Lake Bled. I did not visit the island in its center (which is called Bled Island), but I do not think it's private. As far as I know, the building on the island is a church. 5. Regarding the lakes in my Waimangu and Orakei Korako albums – they both contain hot water and minerals. Not suitable for swimming... I checked the links and they are correct. Unfortunately, WS does not make the links clickable so you have to copy and paste them to your browser. Best wishes, Yair

Susie, very interesting information in this album about your state bird the cardinal...We just love their song..They are very rare here in Winnipeg, but ironically we have them up at the lake...They appear to be a very timid bird and are hard to photograph...We will come back and visit with you again...Keep up the great work Susie...Take care, Marg and Larry in Winnipeg.

Susie, I love, love, love this album. The Cardinal's are the most beautiful bird, and so fun trying to get that perfect shot. Here, they are so easily spooked, so it makes them difficult to photograph, especially if there's only one or two. You did a great job, with not only the camera, and preparing the pictures, but the phrasing. Thank you so much for the nice compliments on my albums. I'm learning, a little at a time.

I loved this presentation. It is a wonderful slideshow. You did a great job, and I have shared it with several of my e-mail friends. We have several Cardinals coming to our feeders daily and they are so much fun to watch...and yes, they do love to eat. We have a Mama and Papa that have been feeding a baby and teaching it to fly for the past few days. Keep up the good work...again, thanks for sharing one of my favorite birds with me! nojunkff@eufaula.rr.com

A fantastic album. Love cardinals one is singing in my woods now and I have seen him way up there in the trees. Years ago, when I fed the birds, the female would come too and somehow I liked her interesting colors especially. You have here a lot to choose from for next week's challenge. Have you entered anything for the cc-lyrics? The display page is beautiful until the pictures don't come up when you click on them, and you cannot make more than one or two comments at the time and have to go back out and start all over again. So, I have started to get into the habit, if someone leaves a comment, I want to leave some for them too and go to their albums and hopefully find what they entered. Thank you so much for your lovely comments. They have been much appreciated. Have a nice weekend!

Rare birds in my part of the world, but so beautiful! I was lucky enough a few years ago to have a pair nesting in a backyard elm tree. Many photos I took of the pair and their young ones. They were always feeding the babies! Terrific album! Thanks for the kind comment on my cc - bird entry of the "Gull over Lake Utopia"......Wayne from Down East Canada.
