Just love the hats.. not something you see a lot of here at all. The horses are wonderful .. always love images of horses and these grat.. I can hear them and the thundering past ansd the roar of the crowd must be amazing. Great atmosphere here. regards poppy ps thankyou for your comments in my GB too!

I loved this album of the "Big Race" for horses. I must say the hats were almosst as big an attraction as the horses. Do they also have awards for this parade of hats in this display that seems to have replaced the Easstr Bonnet Parade for spectacular hats! I love the way you presented the photos with snaps of the colorful hats between tha shots of magnificent horses. That really made the album of the event flow smoothly and gave a feeling of action.. one could almost imagine being there that beautiful day and feel he excitement of the croud as the horses went flying past the grandstand and across the finish line!;)

Thank you for posting these great pictures of the Kentucky Derby! Kentuckians are very proud of this event as it presents a wonderful glimpse of this incredible state and it's people. I think everybody should experience the Derby at least once in their life! It has given me many years of excitement and entertainment! I highly recommend it! :)
