Whoa!!! this is such a wonderful album to go thru...am truly delighted seeing the timeless n effortless caress you took in taking all these pictures. i too have a pair of gsd's male female and both are with a super friendly disposition which is what makes them so special again. i was always very fond of more golden coloured alsations but was never lucky to have one. had more of blacks. Sandy n molly which we have now,Sandy being sable color not a very common shade in gsd's n molly black n tan.My personal experience with sable color dogs...extremely sensitive and senses so much so developed that they just missed from being humans.Though they never grow to be very strong or stout shephards. VeeGee is a Daddy's girl. She loves me ..... but the sun rises and sets on her Daddy. She is 87 lbs now. We love the big lug!!!! Bruzer is pretty buff himself. Jeff was looking thru the 'Bruzer' album last night with me and thought he was a beautiful shepherd. Bruzer and VeeGee do look alike.

Bruzer is looking amazing, and he's a Bear's fan, too! This is Elka's first football season and the Bears have started it out right for her. I hope they keep it up. We are about 3 hours south of Chicago. I wish we were closer.

Thanks for the note on VeeGee. She is quite a girl. We adore her. VeeGee loves ice cubes just like elka. She has learned how to open the cooler to get one out. Bruzer, Rubik, Elka and VeeGee sound alike. Bruzer is so nice looking. The Briarwood genes must be a great set. HA HA.

Thanks so much for your compliments on Elka. I am so proud of her. Your Bruzer sounds alot like Elka. She too likes to fetch and chase things--she really likes the chasing part, hasn't quite perfected the bringing back part. She has a rubber tire that I will hide treats or ice cubes or smaller toys in and make her have to get them out of the tire--she loves it! She gets so determined. She loves to just carry her tire around with her. She is also a very good watchdog. She doesn't miss anything. I got Elka from Julie Walsh in Iowa who owns Elka's sire and dam--the dam was a Sarge/Sierra pup, just like Rubik. I am waiting for the day when Elka figures out how to use the ice cube dispenser on the fridge... she loves ice cubes. Every time I open the freezer she is right there begging for an ice cube to munch on. I can't believe your Max would fetch beers--talk about Man's Best Friend! And Bruzer is awesome. I would love to have a Rugger pup. I really enjoy your pictures of Bruzer, especially the ones with the sprinkler. Gotta love our shepherds!--John--Elka's dad

Rubik is the same way with the sprinkler!!! I can't add water to the pool or do anything with the hose without him jumping in the way. Bruzer is so beautiful. How tall and how much does he weigh now? Rubik goes in later this month for his annual vaccinations and we will get a vet verified height and weight but right now with our measuring tape and scale he is 27 1/2 inches at the shoulders and 94 pounds. He will be 15 months old tomorrow.

He is a beautiful boy. I'll be getting another boy from Jolynn later this year, hopefully a Rugger son. Rubik and Bruzer are the same height but your boy weighs more than Rubik. (he is 98 pounds at a year old).
