Wow Janine, you sure have many nice shots of the humming bird in here. What setting was the camera on to get those, sports mode, or fast shutter speed in PASM mode? Thanks for the invite, George

Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments. All hummingbird photos were shot with a Canon 10d + 70-200mm F/4L lens + Tamron 1.4x TC. Camera was set to TV mode, continuous shooting & partial metering; ISO was set to 100 then adjusted according to conditions; shooting speed was set to 1/500 then adjusted as needed, according to the lighting; the camera choose the F stop (usually F/4).

Hi Janine, WOW is the word here....again a fantastic album, the wonders of lenses and photographers in action. Your site is better than a bird book, you should write your own and use your own pictures, make more sense anyway. Thank you for your invitation once more. These are nice. Here is one more Thank You for the humming bird shots. I just finished 4 days of trying to photograph those little critters here in North-central Louisiana. The day after "RITA" blew through here I had as many as 30 of them here at home whereas I normally have 3 around. I only have a Minolta Dimage 7i that I can shoot with. I know how dificult it can be :) Thanks, Bill

I have been waiting for an INCREDIBLE collection of Hummingbirds like these for 8 years now! My dear Mother loved the precious little hummingbird more than any other! When she passed away 8 years ago very unexpectantly, I swore to put a perfect picture of this beauty on her memorial plaque! Thanks to you that wish has come true!
