Dear Kaethi & Henri, thank you very, very, very much for your nice message. Thank you very, very, very much for all your strong support to my photos. I feel sad to know about the loss of Mixi. In my eyes, all chickens are so pretty, so elegant. Truly, I love watching chickens very much. I keep remembering that I loved feeding the chickens in my grandmother-in-law's farmyard when I was a kid, the pictures deep in my mind, forever. May God Bless All Beautiful Chickens! ^v^ Thank you so much again, Dearest Kaethi & Henri. All my best wishes to your sweet family! CS :)

I looked again at this album after I learned that poor Futee passed away. I saw it in your creative challenge and i sincerely hope it wins. Mixi and Blacky are also 9 years old so they have enjoyed a nice life too. I am sure they are all happy with you and had a very good home. I hope Mixi and Blacky live a long life together. hugs and much love, Barbara

This is a very nice album - I've never seen hens so close before. They are very beautiful and your close-up photos are astonishing. I did not realize the hens had personality and now I learned something important. Your grandchildren are fortunate to have you think of them with this delightful album.

Kaethi and Henri, it was a pleasure looking at these hens. They seem to be very happy, you obviously take good care of them. I used to have one hen when I was a child but she was killed by another animal and I didn't have any since. Thanks for visiting my Locks album, certainly much different than my Orchids album but I like that kind of albums and even was surprised to see that members downloaded some pictures of the locks... Take care, Yair.

Dear Kaethi & Henri.. Beautiful close-ups of your lovely hens, they look so happy and healthy, and must be contented to still be laying at 8 years of age. Thank you very much Kaethi and Henri for the card inviting us to view this album full of beautiful freshness. The hens become so close and one can only love them. We had hens in our backyard for a little while during our childhood and these photos bring back nice memories. Happy Easter to you and your family. Regards from Paul in Canada.

Hi Kaethi and Henri, It's a beautiful colorful album! I particularly like the close-ups. So many times one sees pictures in which the subjects are mere specs, but these up-close and personal. Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. I thank you for your visits and kind words on "my" Bald Eagles. Of course, I refer to my album (LOL). We have visited the nest area for the past three days, but have not seen the adults or the eaglets. They may have abandoned the nest for the season, or are returning very late in the evening and leaving for the day at first light. Bald Eagles, like so many human residents in Florida, are only winter residents. They migrate north in the spring and return to nest in the autumn. This leads me to believe that the eaglets will remain with their parents through their stay in Florida and learn from them the migratory route and fishing "grounds" up north. The parents will certainly return without the eaglets, so the break-up will come up there.

Hallo Kaethi uns Heinz! Vielen Dank fuer eure nette Nachricht.

DEAR PRETTY LADIES! I must come to say sorry to all of you for not having saying HELLO to you for half a year! I know you all are very busy in laying eggs for Easter time, especially for the great arts of Dearest Henri & Kaethi! Now, after today, you all may have a short holiday! BUT A VERY SHORT HOLIDAY ONLY!!! HeeHeeHee! Because Henri & Kaethi have painted all the eggs for Easter time so beautifully that they will keep them forever! And Henri & Kaethi doesn't have eggs for breakfast for many many many days! SO! All four of you have to start working very soon! HaaHaaHaa! Thank you very much Dear Henri & Kaethi! Love from CS!

Dear Kaethi and Henri, How Fun! I love the close up pictures of the feathers. How lovely to have your own fresh eggs. And I have to say, I have never seen eggs on pizza. What an interesting idea. Thank you for your note. Things have been so busy and crazy here that I have not taken many photos for a while, and have had less time to post what I have taken. But things are slowing down a bit and I hope to be back to doing what I love...taking and posting photos, as well as quilting, working in my garden, cooking... we had one of my sons and his family living with us for 8 months while they got their feet on the ground. They moved out 2 weeks ago, another son and family came to visit for a week, and now.. at last, Gary and I are on our own again. I hope things are going well for you both. When do you plan to visit the US again? It would be lovely to try to find a way to meet in person one day. Happy Easter! Love, Emilie

Hi Kaethi and Henri, I'm sure your Spanish is considerable better than my French. I studied French in secondary school in New York and was once able to read and understand Descartes, but that was a lifetime ago and all that remain are just a few words. Thank you for your interest in my albums, but no I'm not the solitary hiker. I included him solely to put the wash in context. My wife, Angela, is however among the "Hikers Avoid the Sun on the Grand Wash Trail" in the same album. Greetings from Florida, Paul.

Grossartig. Die muss ich umbedingt meinen Kinder zeigen. :-) Alles Liebe aus Israel - Galit

Hello Henri & Kaethi.. Just had to come back to revisit your hens, they are lovely. Pleased you enjoyed my Tulips. Spring has come early this year and I had a wonderful day amongst the dazzling colours of the Tulips. Araluen is in a valley and it gets cold enough for the Tulips to grow well. The Spring Annuals have not reached their peak yet. Guess you will soon be having Autumn Leaves. Best wishes.. Gladys.

Hi, thanks for your guestbook entery. This is a nice album you have here, showing the colourful hens. When you say about taking a ticket in my Ships album, I have done. My brother and I are going on a cruise in October. Not a long one, just a week, but I'm really looking forward to it. It will be going to two places in France, Spain and Portugal. I hope to get many photos when we are ashore, as we have about 8-12 hours in each port before we leave again. All the best, George from Shetland, Scottish isles.

Hello Kaethi & Henri! This is a delightful album and a lovely tribute to your hard-working hens. You have captured the beautiful colours in their feathers, and I love the shot of Futee's eye. Pleased they reward you with such lovely eggs. Well done.. Thankyou for your kind words -- honestly, I had never made the association between Hollyhocks and Hibiscus, so did some research. Hollyhock (Alcea rosea) is from the Malvaceae family; and Hibiscus (Rosa sinensis) is also from the Malvaceae family. Guess they are distant relations. Now I'm just thinking what I would do with those eggs :o) Must be fantastic to know just how fresh they are and they have come from such happy birds too. Hi, Henri and Kaethi! I am sure your grandchildren will treasure this lovely album. It reminded me of my childhood. I closed my eyes and visualized mom and dad feeding our chickens and teaching me how to pronounce their names. Good memories. Thanks! Lety - Brazil :-)

Gros bisous, Llum

Dear Kaethi und Henri..today I write in English. Yesterday night I had a long message in German , hit a wrong key and everything got lost...I had no more time to repeat it. This is an absolute wonderful, darling album..I love hens and roosters too. Your photos 20 and 21 are my favorites, your hens have very beautiful, shiny feathers and Trixi is the queen with her golden markers, really precious. All three are plump and so healthy , it must be a joy to get the eggs and very yummi to eat them besides that it is much healthier than the horrible white eggs from the supermarket. So this is a winner dear friends, I had such fun looking and remembering the times whe I also had chickens and hens..long time ago.

Hi Kaethi and Henri! I viewed this album earlier this morning, but Greg and Marcia were here and I had to visit with them for a few hours, so now I'm back! Your chickens are so cute. I'm sorry that you lost one last year, but it looks like you're still getting a nice supply of eggs. Those fresh eggs are really great; Bob's parents used to supply us with farm fresh eggs every time we went over to Illinois to visit. There is really a big difference in the taste and the color! I'll have to tell you a story about those farm eggs some day! :-)) Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. Lots of hugs and love, Sharon

Hi Kaethi and Heinz...WOW what wonderful photos of your chickens. I love the one with the golden hair around his/her neck. I like the others too, and I am really sorry that Blacky passed away last year. I guess it is fun to feed them and to get the eggs...I might be afraid of them though. Do you eat these eggs? Do you candle them? Really a good idea to have your own eggs. I am so glad you name your chickens...it means you will not eat them. Do you have a rooster too? I do not know much about chickens and roosters. Thank you for sharing. much love, Barbara...ps..I might not write today because I have a lot of chest pain today so I am going to rest.

Big hugs, Barbara
