  • Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

  • I was thinking about all the cat-faces that cross our lives. Though, most of mine stay on until the can almost vote! I'm becoming increasinly convinced that the come back if they want to. I would!

  • I like to think god gives our furry friends shorter lives then us for a reason. This way we can meet and love many more then it would be otherwise possible. No one can replace a lost friend, but a new friend will help ease the pain.

  • What a lovely collection of photos. I can feel your pain at the loss of your companion. We had 4 cats. They all lived into their teens. They all died within a short time of each other. The last one lived with us almost 19 years. The pain of their loss is bitter, but the memories are so sweet. Miss Fay was very, very beautiful. In Your photos, She looks to have had a very happy life. How fortunate she was. I have a new cat from the animal shelter. We are having fun getting to know each other.   • Dear Eti, I mourn with you for the loss of Miss Fay (I'm not ashamed to say there are tears running down my face right now so if I make a type you'll know why). She was a gorgeous cat and looked ever so sweet. We lost our darling Lana early this year and still miss her deeply. She'll always be with us, as Fay will always be with you, and I feel blessed just to have had her for the short time we did. Oh, and thanks for your nice note in my featured album Tuesday.   • Eti; I'm so sorry about miss Fay! She was very beautiful! I loved the picture by her food dish because she matched the colored autumn leaves. wonderful markings. I also laughed outloud on the pic. 'what a lizard must feel like!' We are getting close to letting our youngest kity (PepperAnn) go outside now and I DO worry about the road. Most of our cats knew to avoid it...but we did lose one years ago by a car. So sorry again about Miss Fay! What a special tribute to her! April in Salem Oregon

  • Oh Eti I am So sorry for your loss of such a beautiful feline, with such a sweet nature too! She was gorgeous, her markings stunning. She had a lovely character as you can tell so well from the photos you took. Beautiful close ups of her darling face! I loved so many shots the one "Zoning out" is cute, as well as the one taken through the wood fence, well there is many more in that list. I love cats too and love that their personality shines so well through the camera. Those gorgeous eyes seem to hide but say so much at the same time! This is a lovely dedication album to a wonderful cat that was taken way too soon. This is a beautiful memorial to her, and thanks for sharing a bit of your heart and soul with this loss.
