    • I just read in the November issue of Equus Magazine that there are only 9 QH that are the brindle color. These horses are still being tested as to how they are this color, but they have found that so far, all of the tested horses were horses with 2 sets of DNA (4 DNA strands). The dark color hairs are genetically as different from the light colored hairs as 2 individual horses! At a very early stage of development, there were twins who completely fused together. If DNA tests are done to parent qualify the foals of these mares and stallions, they are often found to not be the parents. This has also occured in humans as well...weird stuff huh??

    • Dear Hiscowgirl, I ran across your album through the Gabster Fav page. Thanks for sharing! I love your Brindle shot, You must contact me PLEASE and tell me where you saw that horse. I galloped race horses at tracks around the country. I'm semi-retired and now my husband and I focus on Paints. I love the QH base-line breeding (Obviously so do you). Please tell me about that Brindle. eferg1961@hotmail.com Thanks again for sharing, you're Photos are awesome!!!!
