Hi Ted, thank you so much for all your wonderful comments on my new album! It's so nice to hear how others view your photos. I love all your wonderful bird albums, and envy you for being so close to the Lake Martin Rookery. I would just LOVE to be there and see all these fabulous birds in thier surroundings! Capturing birds is so challenging and so rewarding. To answer your question about my lens I use for the 30D, I use the 24-105 and the macro end of that lens for close-ups. I hope to buy a macro lens some day. I also use the 100-400 for birds, and the 17-40 is my wide angle lens. I only started taking photos 4 years ago with a little Canon G2 and got the Canon 20D 2 1/2 years ago, and upgraded it to the 30D this year. I am learning with lots of practice and keep trying different settings as I go along. It's a wonderful hobby, I so enjoy! enjoy your day, all the best to you fondest regards Mary

Hi Ted - a magical moment! Being able to capture the life from day one is a very special treat. I want to take this opportunity of apologising for the delay in thanking you for your kind entry in my GB feature album last month. I too, have had the pleasure - now 5 times - of seeing and capturing the annual breeding process of the hadeda ibis from trees in our garden. Hi Ted, thanks for your compliments about my last tree. No, for Yoav I will not plant a myrtle tree! :-) Myrtle is one of the plants that are important in the Jewish faith, together with the olive tree for instance. So he will be close to Myrtle, but in an other way. :-) Yoav is doing fine, crying a lot, he is still coping with the usual stomachaches of the newborn. His parents are soooooo tired - but happy. I'll put a new 'family picture in the 'some things album . . . :-) I am fine too. Thanks for asking! :-) Tomorrow I'll get back to regular work.
