As for being pyramided, yes they are. As careful as one can be with the diet for captive Hermanns Torts usually they get somewhat pyramided. The male was EXTREMELY pyramided before I got him as he came from a breeder who obviously fed him either too much or the wrong foods. To avoid pyramiding never feed peas or beans or other high protein items. Feed as much weedy material from outside as possible as long as it is not treated with pesticides.

they are so cute and im getting a tortoise and his name is willie and i nicknamed him chillie and im gonna bring him home as soon as i get him paid off cause im gonna start making payments on him cause im getting him from a birdstore the owner takes in all kinds of animals and i have never ever owned a turtle or tortoise so i am a first time turtle / tortoise owner any info you can give me would be helpful here is my email address carmelsundae@myway.com
